Please make sure your child has all the proper attire and shoes for class. Sports bra and bootie shorts are required in all technique classes. All dancers must have Company leotards (found at Standing Ovation) for ballet, and tights with no bootie shorts must be worn. Hair must be pulled up and away from the face. If your child is missing any of the aforementioned items, they will not be allowed to participate in class. Please visit the “Attire” page to find the links to purchase the proper clothing items.

APPAREL



BALLET: Black company leotard and pink tights purchased from “Standing Ovation”. Hair in a bun.

HIP-HOP: Comfortable clothing (not too loose). Gym shoes

JAZZ: Booty shorts(any color) and sports bra(any color)

TECHNIQUE: Booty shorts (any color), sports bra or leotard (any color), hair in a bun.

TURN CLASS: Booty shorts(any color) and sports bra (any color), hair in a bun.

Competition hair for 2020-2021 dance season is a slicked middle part with a low ponytail.

MAKEUP



K. Monique’s Studio of Dance will hold a make-up class. All dancers will need to purchase the exact same make-up palette and lipsticks from the class. Fake eyelashes are mandatory. If a dancer shows up to competition without fake eyelashes on or the make-up is not correct, Kristin will not allow them to perform until the make-up look meets criteria.
